So, HOPEFULLY we claimed him to get the comp pick and that we will move Cassel for a pick before next year starts and use those picks (and more) to trade up for a real quarterback.

It's too bad I know better.

Exactly. Because it's easier to move down from the #14 pick and get a couple of 6th's in return. Because the 6th round is where you get franchise QBs.

You guys really need to get over this.

We were never going to draft a franchise quarterback anyway.

Next year we're going to roll out Cassel, Orton and a new head coach and if we're lucky, they'll compete for the starting job.

End result: Cassel won't be our starter anymore.

If you were hoping for more than that, you're a fool.

To those talking about the compensatory pick, I'm fairly sure it's like a 5th, probably a 6th rounder. I'm damn near positive we're not getting a 3rd or anything like it for him....
