We've all quit years ago, but she's still smoking away.

I know a respitory therapist who can't wait for her smoke break. I've asked her wtf before. She has no good answer. Addiction.

That's how I started too. I was never going to smoke... then I started college early the summer before my actual freshman year and had 3 smoking roommates.

Sorry about your dad. :( I lost my grandma to esophageal cancer about 20 years ago.

I don't even remember when I started smoking. I dipped from about 6th grade on. At some point, I'm assuming in about 7th grade, I started smoking as well. Through high school and college, I smoked and dipped. Then stopped dipping in college and only smoked. Rolled my own cigarettes (Bali Shag, baby) for years in college and afterwards. Move to Colorado, and went back to the dip because we were too active at altitude to smoke. Then moved back here and quit the dip at some point as well.

I still dip on occasion. I can't ****ing stand cigs, though. Like, I have no idea how I smoked because even if I go to a smoky bar, my hangover is about 30 times worse than if I drank twice as much booze in a smoke free environment. Completely stops my nose up and makes me sneeze and have drippy ass snot nose for days afterwards as well as headaches.

I always thought that I had horrible allergies (and I do) through college, but half of the problem was that I was "allergic" to smoke and was a smoker. Since I quit smoking, my allergies are completely manageable.

Thanks Lump... you don't have to be sorry though. We all lose loved ones. Dad smoked for 50 years and beat cancer twice. 3rd time got him. Wasn't looking for sympathy. When you smoke you invite it. I know this but addiction has me for now anyway.

It's amazing the brutality we put our bodys through voluntarily even though we know better. It'll never get us when we're young... but then we stop being young and by then we're addicted.

Eariler in my life I've had problems with cocaine, alcohol, weed and taken some shit when I didn't even know what it was. I'm not ashamed to admit it because it was part of my journey. Others here can judge if they want, makes no difference to me. I'm glad to say only cigarettes keep me down now but that's too much for my body to take as well. Steps.

Yes, but we lost our loved ones way too soon.

My biggest motivation the next time I quit is going to be my son. He was before, but then I let stress take over my thoughts and I lost my focus. What sucks is I was doing really well and was proud of myself, (even though I was sneaking a few smokes a day), then I got pissed one day and lit up, one after the other.

Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I've ever tried to quit. I could say no to another line of coke... I'd had more than enough already. I could turn down a joint because I didn't want dry mouth. Drinking was hard but if you just don't go to the liquor store it works for me. Smoking is a whole different animal.

Yeah, man. JFC, I remember how I'd kill a whole pack in one night of going out to the bars in college and my lungs felt like complete rotten ass afterwards. On regular days, I'd smoke about 15 cigs in a day. Looking back at it, I can't even believe how I could have possibly justified that kind of behavior to myself. I guess drinking and chain smoking went hand in hand for me.

Smoking makes you look cool. Your supposed to say it doesn't but it does. Nothing better then watching some harlot taking a deep toke and holding it in her lungs..then smiling and blowing it out.

For guys it makes us look like we are experienced or tough. Kinda sexy to girls.

The pleasure part of it is because you have an oral fixation. You know what that mean, right? . Basicly you like to have "something" in your mouth at all times. Hint hint

Having read maybe a half dozen of your posts I have to say you're the single most boring troll I've ever seen here.

I rarely smoke in front of anyone, primarily because I rarely go anywhere outside of work and home.

Now kindly go **** yourself.

Females that smoke cigarettes are typically easy whores.
