I can't fathom how THIS FRANCHISE and fans of SAID FRANCHISE don't think Cam Newton is worthy of our #1 pick.

My God. You are all so easily influenced by the media.

I'm about 99% positive that the people saying this are the same people that were saying Gabbert was better than Newton. LMAO

They won't admit that though.

?

and?

he has been in the league for two years LMAO

the dude seeps talent; he may or may not get his head straight but he's worth every bit the risk a Geno Smith is worth

The Panthers lost to the Chiefs this year...Cam Newton played fantastic. That was his fault they lost?

Using this argument, you're implying Tim Tebow is better than Cam. Or that Weeden was better than RGIII or Luck in college. Who's the dipshit?

Hammock Parties 02-17-2013 04:15 PM

Peyton Manning was 3-13 his first season.

Anyone who thinks Cam would be worth giving up the #1 overall for. That's who.

A truly great QB elevates his team to win. Newton celebrates scoring a touchdown in a blowout. The dude is an idiot. And so are you and the other bundle of sticks in this thread clamoring for him.

Jim Kelly was 4-12 and 6-6 before he did shit in the NFL....

Lolwut?

Aikman didn't win shit his first two years...list goes on and on.

Never change, Chiefs Nation.

Hootie 02-17-2013 04:19 PM

that was the dumbest thing I've read in a while...

judging a 23 year old QB who was raw coming out of college by his W/L record

like I said, us Chiefs fans witnessed 1 of our 2 wins against Cam's Panthers and Cam played really well. Threw 3 TD's against 0 picks and ran for 80 yards.

He also ended his season on a 4 game winning streak. All he needs is a coach to adhere to his strengths and he can be every bit as good as a Colin Kaepernick.

Shit, the reason I'm so high on Kaepernick is because his head is screwed on straight. The only flaw Newton has is the fact he may never "get it."

I do think he has the intelligence to get it, he just has to want to. Still, definitely worth the risk of our #1 in 2012 for this hypothetical scenario that would never happen.

Carolina wouldn't trade Cam for anything. Anything short of a QB like Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck or Colin Kaepernick that is. Again, unrealistic.

But yeah...in this unrealistic hypothetical trade scenario, you absolutely trade the #1 in 2012 for Cam Newton.

Hootie 02-17-2013 04:21 PM

you're bashing Newton for celebrating when his team is getting blown out? Fine. That's fair. That's immaturity. No doubt. Immature, 22 year old move.

Basing that on saying he has no value because of it? Ridiculous. Stupid.

Pure stupidity.

Peyton Manning threw his entire team under the bus one year in the playoffs after they lost. Immature move. Shit happens in the heat of the battle. Do I cringe when I see Dwayne Bowe celebrate when we are losing by 30? Yes.

Is it a big deal? No.

Titty Meat 02-17-2013 04:22 PM

I dont know how you can blame that all on cam that team was 1-15 when he took over and they had cap issues.

The defense did Cam no favors. This years game against us was a great example.
