I wouldn't kill someone for breaking into my car, but I'd definitely enjoy putting some lumps on them if I had the chance.

Did I say that? Obviously it depends on the situation. But what bothers me is the blanket statements on this board that you should be able to just kill anybody in cold blood, in ANY situation, if they are breaking into a car.

I've probably mentioned this before, but in college I had a roommate who was a very brawny survivalist type of fellow. He actively hoped someone would break into our house, because he really wanted to have a legal justification for beating the daylights out of someone. He was a good guy to be friends with.
