Watching Zobrist tonight...unless Infante gets exorcised or something we're gonna miss him so much. So patient, love his ABs. Maybe Moore will make a move by the deadline. I'm not believing in Infante 2.0 until I see it.

Zobrist is like a machine at the plate. There just aren't many guys out there period that are going to replace that.

Maybe, but Gordon is an elite defender and when his contract ends, he'll be about as old as Zobrist is now. Zobrist will be 38 when his contract is up.

Plus, he took less money to play with the Cubs. He wanted to play with Maddon again, and he's originally from Illinois.

Won't be able to watch tonight because I will be on a plane headed for Kansas City, MO. Orientation for KU on Saturday morning then it looks like the Royals game in the evening with my father!

Luckily for the Cubs money isn't an issue and they have Baez waiting, and if he doesn't work out their #1 prospect is a top 30 MiLB shortstop. If Zobrist tanks the Cubs are ready with options B and C, assuming no trades. Also, they just converted Ian Happ to full time 2B.
