Either way, their rationale makes no sense. If it's based on what they expect from a player in 2018, then Shazier shouldn't make the list. If it was based on 2017 production, then Smith should be on the list. He played his best year ever last year, yet he's made it in the past.

They need to set some rules up for this thing. It's anarchy. Players are voting for last year's stars, next year's stars, dogs, cats, Caitlyn Jenner, dump trucks, whatever. There's no system in place.

It's a subjective list. It's always going go have a few decisions we don't agree with. Just like if CP did a top 100 list. There'd be a lot of snubs there too.
