Any idea if most of theses places will be open x mas eve , and any area’s downtown considered unsafe for walking around .

I love Zarda's brisket and wedge cut fries dipped in the original sauce.

Golden Ox or Pierponts are top notch. Can't go wrong either way.

although I'm a Rib-Eye man.

I'm going to be in Kansas City for 5 days and may go to both and have a juicy Rib-Eye. & I want a big thick steak with lots of gristle and fat.

If you're in town on Tuesday, go check out Meat Mitch at 95th and Mission. They have Tuesday burnt end quesabirria tacos w/ guajillo jus. They are really awesome...

That sounds good. We like burnt ends.

If you go, I also recommend taking home a bottle of their Whomp BBQ sauce. It's currently one of my KC favorites... They have samples on the table. Pro tip: Try a little on the tacos...

This thread keeps on giving. Any other sauce recommendations. Will try to order whomp and already plan on getting night of the living sauce.

My dad was the real steak fan in the family and he always liked Golden Ox. Back when it was in the stockyards.

Sorry if it’s already been mentioned, but what’s everyone’s opinion of Stock Hill? I haven’t been there yet, but it looks good.

Stock Hill is good, I’d also visit The Majestic and Piropos for steaks…Golden Ox is also a solid choice

Had brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage at Slap’s last night. God, I miss living only a couple of minutes from that place.

I know it will be a generic response but i like:

Joe's
Q39
Jack Stack

But you can't go wrong with any of the famous ones i feel like, they're all good.

This plus Char Bar.

I actually selected Fiorella's instead of Jack Stack because to me they're the same place, but I guess Fiorella's is its own restaurant as well? In either event, I meant Jack Stack.
