NEWS OF DOZIER'S DEMISE MAY HAVE BEEN EXAGGERATED

kstater 03-23-2008 04:54 PM

Arkansas back within 25.

UNC handling a second round match up like your supposed to as a number one seed.

kstater 03-23-2008 04:56 PM

Hansburrrow shocked they called a charge on him.

Mecca 03-23-2008 04:57 PM

Dozier fouls out because the out of control white boy ran into him.

Ultra Peanut 03-23-2008 04:58 PM

Dozier was standing stock still. This is some repugnant shit right here.

banyon 03-23-2008 04:58 PM

Dozier fouled him with his chest bone when Hansbrough flailed into him. I think it was because his name was Hansbrough.

CDR probably the most underrated player in the country. People always talk about Rose, but much less about CDR. That guy can play, and has the size and tools to be a big time player at the next level.

Hansbroughs don't get called for plays like that. Hence Dozier walking to the bench.

LOL, the Commentator said that Rose told them CDR has "old man tricks".

Maybe they got UNC Hansblah and MSU's Hansbrough confused. Just think of the possibilities if they were to play each other. UNC's Hansbury would foul out in 5 minutes.

eazyb81 03-23-2008 05:01 PM

What is the stupid MSU coach complaining about? Does he think Memphis should play with only 4 players the rest of the game too? What a tool.

Mecca 03-23-2008 05:01 PM

They are coaching this like it's Shaq out there.

banyon 03-23-2008 05:02 PM

It's the Hack a Dorsey strategy.

kstater 03-23-2008 05:02 PM

Analysts talking up Hans Solo's 12 blocks this year. Thing is, the guy he's guarding has 45.

Ultra Peanut 03-23-2008 05:02 PM

Keep the light shining, Abbie!

ArrowheadHawk 03-23-2008 05:03 PM

The usher blinds the FT shooter. Classic.

Chiefs Pantalones 03-23-2008 05:04 PM

There's nothing to do in Memphis, you'd think the least they could do is practice their free throw shooting.

ArrowheadHawk 03-23-2008 05:05 PM

They should just keep fouling memphis.

Step right up, Mr. Rose.

ArrowheadHawk 03-23-2008 05:12 PM

Memphis will squeak by the 8 seed. Tell me again why are UNC and KU on opposite sides of the bracket.

kstater 03-23-2008 05:12 PM

Of course, but RPI takes all this into effect. If Memphis was in a better conference they could afford to lose more games and still end up as a #1 seed. Also, they could have toned down their non-con in preparation for a tougher conference slate.

What I'm getting at is that you're more likely to lose to a worse team that's a rival than a worse team that you play once every 5 years.

And what is your point? Survive and advance.

Kansas also beat their 2nd round opponent by more than Florida did last year.

My point is that Memphis and UNC should be on one side of the bracket and UCLA and KU on the other. The way its setup now I think the possible UNC vs KU matchup will be better than whoever the winner will play in the final.

Ceej 03-23-2008 05:19 PM

I thought it was funny that Joey Dorsey was whining about some exit door opening - which let sun shine through. Aha.

kstater 03-23-2008 05:19 PM

ooooh Have a chance.

kstater 03-23-2008 05:19 PM

Almost. UP just had a coronary.

Ceej 03-23-2008 05:20 PM

And Memphis gets a good win. Bad FT shooting almost led to OT.

Ultra Peanut 03-23-2008 05:20 PM

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

That is a pretty satisfying way to win, though.

Yeah. Aside from having a better RPI, better strength of schedule, and a better record, we totally didn't deserve to be seeded higher than Kansas.

Mind you, we got rewarded by being sent to Texas to play Texas. Wanna switch brackets right now?

tk13 03-23-2008 05:21 PM

Well, they advanced. There are no style points. Ohio State probably should've lost their 2nd round game to Xavier last year and they ended up in the title game.

That said, Memphis is a great team, but they are not going to win the championship shooting FT's like today.

I'm a Memphis native and a KU grad. I've watched both teams all year long. One is not appreciably better than the other.

As a KU fan too, it's best not to get too arrogant given our recent record in the tourney.

kstater 03-23-2008 05:22 PM

ROFL

Nance now comparing UNC to the Russians. The blitzkrieg started early.

ROYC75 03-23-2008 05:23 PM

That was a foul on that last Ms. State 3 point try ........

Oh well, that's the norm in this tourney, alot of bad calls everywhere.

Memphis will be the 1st # 1 to lose, a very bad FT shooting team. Had Ms State started to foul at the 1:40 mark, they would have won.

Ceej 03-23-2008 05:24 PM

I sure wish these last two games were a bit more competitive..

No I don't want to switch brackets but I think the tourney should go to a format where the selection commitee meets again before the final four to determine the matchups.

That is reeruned and unnecessary. It would also kill one of the reasons March Madness is so popular: brackets.

You, sir, are obviously a communist.
