I understand why people feel this way, but I'm confident we're not going to see prices go over $3. It may not get that high. The recession has put demand for oil way down on a global level. They've done everything they could to get it this high. It'll be a stretch to get it much higher.

I agree.

When I call on Exxon and Conoco, it's all I can do to not kick them in the balls.

Jumped 20 cents in 6 hours today. 2.39

:spock: Uh...what?

It's the Cartel of station owners here that control the prices. We are routinely 20 cents higher than Spokane. It isn't just because we are out in the sticks, because I have been in smaller towns even further away that are more in line with Spokane's prices. :#

Oh, I recognized it as smack. It just didn't make sense. :)

Also, it isn't Oregon refugees here; it's Californians on welfare. ;)

Interesting. There's some speculation (yes, intended) that the recent rally is not supported by the fundamentals. Demand is still low and supplies are still high, although the drop in supply this week was greater than expected.

You think the refineries should be operating at 100%?

Crude nearing $64/barrel. National retail gasoline average is $2.46, up $0.40 since last month.
