You can move your chat windows anywhere you want them. I don't remember the exact how-to, I'm not ingame right now and need to go to work, but I actually discovered it by accident. I think it was just left clicking on the channels tab and moving it.

I'm running in 1600x1200 (4:3 aspect ratio), so the issue that I have is that the Auction House window overlaps the two left columns of my inventory. |
Yeah, the pop-up windows (i.e. inventory/gtn/crew skills) not being movable/adjustable is definintely frustrating at times.

Another thing I really want TOR to implement is some method that will allow for better recognition that an ability can be used, like a reactive ability. Right now, on my Jedi Guardian, I have an ability that only is usable when I parry, but its not real obvious when you have parried and the ability is usable. Only way I can remember to do it is if I focus on the quickslot bar, which I dont want to do. Again, in Rift, you had a reactive ability box that you can put anywhere on the screen and was VERY obvious when you could fire off a reactive ability. In conjunction with that, would like to see a little bit of a macro system. Those really are my biggest gripes right now. The UI I really struggle with. I still sub to both Rift and TOR and when I log back into Rift, you really appreciate the UI that they have. Im sure TOR will get there, just hoping sooner than later. |

I'm in the "the UI features everyone screams for are luxuries not necessities" camp. I actually have no real issues with the TOR ui and I would be fine if they left it as is. (Which they won't...)

Having played through it, I did like it for the most part, but there are long periods where it seems like nothing really happens. And act 2 seems completely disconnected from act 1. Act 3 I like a whole lot so far, but that comes so late in the game, I'm not sure how many consulars actually make it that far. As far as WoW goes, it still doesn't strike me as all that similar an experience. TOR is still much more of a singleplayer game-like experience to me. Which is probably why I'm such a fan. It still feels like playing an offspring of KOTOR and Mass Effect. If I grouped more (or if I grouped at all) maybe my impression would be different. I don't think I've ever put as much time into any game as I have TOR in its first month. I'm kind of glad I'm working now, to get myself off my pc (and onto another one, but still...) |

I still tend to watch the toolbar though, so I can tell specifically what abilities the enemies are using so I can make sure I'm interrupting the correct ones. |

I would imagine your eyes glow or something along those lines, but that's just a wild guess. I could swear I remember something like that from beta on my Marauder (he was combat, or whatever the sith equivalent is), but that's been months ago now. |

Also, would be great to be able to Shift+Click someone's name in chat and see class and level (ala WoW).
|
What is this "chat" you speak of?
(I don't think I've had general chat on for more than a total of maybe 5 minutes) |
