Mine would not. I constantly have to remind her to cover food when it goes in the microwave.

To be fair, he did call it "poverty" chicken curry.

Yes, but chicken isn't that expensive and you can make a curry sauce using fresh ingredients (albeit not for the cost of that $3 can of goo, and assuming you already have the right spices).

Don't let the tv chefs fool you, brining fried chicken in buttermilk overnight does nothing special for it... it didn't hurt it, but didn't impart any special flavor either.

The buttermilk soak isn't really about flavor - you're not going to get some "buttermilk" flavor from it. It's about seasoning, tenderness, and moisture, and it does do that.

Interesting timing for this to show up in my inbox. I know it's been a bit, but here's a scientific explanation of buttermilk brining for fried chicken.

You're frozen chicken looks less than appetizing. That Jyoti can garbage has 23g of fat and 1650mg of sodium. No thanks.

LMAO

Delicious, my friend.

PS - fat doesn't make you fat

He right, though. You could make a better sauce without all the fat and an insane amount of sodium, with a little effort and some spices.

Sounds like a pain in the ass. Maybe if I'm actually cooking with dinner someone. Which, I have actually done before.

But for a quick and easy meal, poverty chicken curry suits me just fine.

PS - SODIUM ROCKS

That's because I edited the picture in photoshop after he complained. LMAO

Ah, you're right. I see the original now.

The color looks better. It looks kinda like vomit on rice, but the color looks fine.

Yep I think I need me one of those hibachi grills.

There are some really good ideas and pictures in this thread. The exception is diarrhea on rice.
