I know Ventura is a head case but his reputation is really bad.

He's probably right. At 9 games, Ventura misses all of one start obviously. If he can find something from today's start, then I am perfectly content with the 9 games :D.

I'll be shocked if the Royals don't trade Hosmer and Moose before the deadline in 2017.

They would have to be way out of the playoff race.

And know for sure that there's no chance of them coming back

So if the Royals are in first place by 5 games at the end of July 2017, you'd be shocked at the division-leaders not trading two of their core players in the middle of the division race? Jesus.

Unless Hosmer completely falls of a cliff, he not coming back. He'll get $20 million plus from the Yankees, Orioles, Giants or Dodgers.

Coming off an ACL, Moose is probably a little less tenuous but if he picks up where he left off, he's gone. The Royals won't pay him $18+.

IMO, this is a good thing. Cuthbert, Merrifield, Colon, Mondesi, Eibner and the others are the future.

Add to them and get another title.

Speculation.

Which pitchers are going to get them to that point?

Plus, they can't pay them.

"Jesus".

Your baseball knowledge can be assessed with these two thoughts.

2 of those are MAYBE everyday type players.

Regardless, the Royals aren't shelling out $35 million for two infield players per year.

Not gonna happen.

Their TV contract is prohibitive.

Oh yeah, and this is not unlike the fact that I didn't like trading away five pitchers last year.

But oh hai, World Series.

Which no one outside of KC remembers.

ROFL
No, use the players that have two AL pennants and a World Title this year and next to get another title. Not five players with no sizable sample in the major leagues.

My "speculation" is a hell of a lot more plausible than your theory of the Royals trading two of their core players at the trade deadline. The Royals would have to be over 10 games out of the second WC for that to happen.

Also, like the 2015 Royals pitching was anything to write home about? Seemed to work for that squad.

Well I think Moose resigning is likely.

Hosmer a chance, but probably not. Depends a ton on the second half this year for what he will get. An entire season with the numbers he is projected to put up, might put him out of the Royals money. No way they trade Hosmer this year though.

C3HIEF3S 06-12-2016 07:35 PM

And who the **** cares if anyone outside of KC remembers the Royals winning the title? Which, anyone that is even a remotely-casual baseball fan knows. IDGAF if some scumbag in NYC doesn't know who won the 2015 WS. My dick doesn't get any bigger based off of someone else giving a shit about the Royals or not.

Why do you think that? It's ****ing comical. They beat the shit out of one of the largest markets in baseball. Yes, people remember it.

I am sure all those Dodger fans you know wonder why spending all this money has left their previous championship back in ****ing 1988.

Stop trolling the thread Dane. And if you aren't trolling, stop embarrassing yourself and go talk about your beloved Chiefs. The team that has done less in 40 years than the Royals previous 5 years.

The thing is with Cuthbert and Dozier we have more depth at 3rd than 1st in our farm system.
