He always harps at the umpire on close calls, especially if he doesnt get any of them and the guy on the other side of the field is getting all of them.

Guy on the other side of the field has 8 K's and is a Cy Young winner.

And he's also getting calls that Lester didnt get right there. He's been painting and most of them have been strikes but Bryants first AB was ball 4 in about the same location that was just a ball for Lester.

He's high maintenance. He needs his own personal catcher, can't manage a throw to first, and it wouldn't be the first time he's melted down after not "getting calls" 6 inches off the plate.

But by all measures, he's a bona fide ace. I just wasn't impressed by his "act like you've been here" attitude when he looked down on the A's celebration in 2014, and since then he's rubbed me the wrong way.

That's literally just mind blowing to me. I can understand not liking to throw when you can't step into and go towards the bag but that was literally the perfect situation to just step into a throw and get it at least within 6 feet of the bag.

Hey look, the Royals ARE in the postseason

Chiefspants 10-25-2016 07:29 PM

Lester is hugely fortunate to escape that inning without giving up a run. Lindor's baserunning, even though it ultimately resulted in an out, seemed to really faze him. He was leaving balls up and giving up hard contact all over the place.

Luckily he has a half inning to get his head on straight.

Hasn't played in 6 months and almost hits a HR off a guy pitching like Cy Young.
