Agreed, al. The other thing that I like about Yost is how he discusses his players with the media. 100 percent has their back, even to the point of getting snarky with the medial when they offer warranted criticism/leading questions.
Is this gamesmanship? Sure. But it's what a savvy manager does.

When you guys first hired the guy in January of last year I said you'd be happy to have him (and that Hillman should be fired and replaced by him as soon as the ink on the contract dries.)

Yost was the manager when baseball became relevant in Milwaukee again.
He didn't get them over the hump, but he did a great job of getting those guys to believe they could win ballgames. He was instrumental in the development of Fielder, Braun and Hardy (who collased again once Yost left).
He had a couple of bad Septembers, but those teams weren't as talented as the squads they were chasing anyway. One could only hold up the house of cards for so long.
Yost is a very good manager.

That guy kicked us in the shins annually in St. Louis. He's one of the top 10 managers in baseball, IMO.
