Royals getting some cash along with Cueto apparently.

WhawhaWhat 07-26-2015 01:20 PM

Gordon ready for jogging, hitting on road trip.

BWillie 07-26-2015 01:20 PM

I wonder how many times a Royals pitcher has gone at least 8 innings. Id guess probably like twice. Cueto has gone 8ip+ 6 times this season and 7ip seven times

Cueto just posted a picture of him wearing a Royals Uniform :)

Vernier speculating Almonte could get on the 40 man.

I agree. This trade doesn't hurt at all.

We just traded a (likely) reliever, MAYBE our fifth starter next year, and a prospect for an ace. This is the best chance we're going to have, probably.

I hope they all work out in Cincinnati & become good players & think there's a good chance.

Only catch now is we can't let Cueto pitch in Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

so do we send ventura back down for a bit, or move young or Guthrie to the pen? Not like we need another right bullpen arm at this point...,

Ventura isn't going anywhere.
Young going to the pen would be my guess, and it's long overdue.

I think a legit veteran infielder would make a lot of sense for the Royals. Someone who can credibly backup SS and 2B while also being a not-embarrassing pinch hitter.

Fairplay 07-26-2015 01:25 PM

Wow I can't believe we got the deal for Cueto, I think we have a WS team now boys.

ROYC75 07-26-2015 01:26 PM

This is a good deal for both teams,Cincy gets help now and later while KC gets what it needs now and have plenty in the minors to warrant this trade.

Good work GMDM.

A post-deadline trade for an equivalent to what Willingham and Ibanez were last year wouldn't hurt, imo.
