Unbelievable

Mental mistakes defensively that the Royals don't make

That was when Vargas lost track of the count and thought he walked and the team completely lost focus for a few moments.

If I recall correctly, I think we scored a lot of runs with 2 outs in Game 4 against he Giants (at least early in the game). For the Vargas at bat you mentioned, in 2015, I think Ned PH's Vargas for Willingham. That was the moment to go for the kill, and Ned passed to preserve our arms for Game 5.

...But unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity that we had in Game 5, as Bumgarner got in the way.

Funnily enough, flash forward to Game 4 of the WS a year later, and Ned pulls Young early to PH Morales in a lower leverage situation. Even pitching Hoch a second night in a row with Game 5 looming (where he pitched two innings for the W).

Say what you want about Edgar, but he managed the hell out of the 2015 WS (Game 3 aside).

The lead runner, you have to make the throw home there

1st three guys play small ball and the next 2 play hero. Hopefully Ross can pick up the young bloods.

Little chance the runner was going anyways, but give up the run to get the out. I would take a 3-1 score with a runner on first with two outs as opposed to a 3-0 score with the bases loaded with 1 out.

Cyborg

Nope, not when up by 3. Get the out and I don't think the runner at third was honestly going home on a tag.

Indians remind me of a certain other A.L. Central team. Can't quite put my finger on it

I still don't think this will end well if they ask Miller to pitch 3 innings every game in which Cleveland has a chance to win and isn't up big.

Hey, HEY! Stop referring to him as "the runner on third". That's the Ben Zobrist we all know and love.

The Tigers? You know, with that bullpen and all. :)

It is amazing how teams are trying to emulate the Royals.

Miller is basically a defacto hybrid Madbum. If the Indians can get a lead by the 5th in 2 more games, he can pitch 2-3 innings in those. If the Indians can steal another game along the way, they can win the series.
