the bills win the common games tiebreaker with cincy, because buffalo beat cleveland, pittsburgh and baltimore, who beat the bengals

They get a 'bye' anyway at that point and only have to play the sad-ass Patriots in the first round.

It probably is the path of least resistance for them.

Oh I agree.

But the league should've re-scheduled the game to Thursday and seems to have already dicked that up. So they've opened the door to shenanigans.

I just don't see another way to 'get that game in' without absolutely ****ing Cincinnati over or just getting rid of the bye week altogether and moving the WC round back so you can get a single game in.

There was a way to do this that didn't drop an A-Bomb on the schedule - the NFL elected not to go that route.

Hammock Parties 01-03-2023 04:01 PM

looks like i was wrong

cincy wins the strength of victory tiebreaker

common games must be dead even or i've got the tiebreaking rules wrong

Hammock Parties 01-03-2023 04:05 PM

yep, common games they're both 8-3 after a pats win

well, better not forfeit BUF

JimNasium 01-03-2023 04:29 PM

They should finish the game February 5th while the Bengals and Bills wait to watch the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

FWIW, Shannon actually did skip the show today over that tweet. Probably manufactured for drama, but it happened regardless.

If that mouthy doofus had any brains, he would skip the show due to all of the asinine Mahomes opinions.

I got downvoted on a post (don't really care) that was intended as an extreme example of having emotion over logic. Just cancel everything. The response was very interesting; yet this sort of emotional reaction seems to be driving everything today.

I need to figure out where the sarcasm font it.

Virtue signaling is a thing. People do it. How else would you describe the behavior?

My issue with the term is I feel like it's a run-off political buzz word.

Mfs weren't talking about virtue signaling 20 years ago. I've read it a ****ton over the last couple years and have heard it said IRL exactly 0 times.

If you use terms like that and "woke" in everyday life, you're probably a little out of touch.

No, don't say that. I love you, bb.

That phrase is dumb but I don't have an issue with it other than having no clue about its origin.

We three are about the same age anyway.

Bump...

I wrote this in this thread on Monday night. We had a young man die at our local high school during BB practice due to Cardiac Arrest. I helped raise funds to have an AED for every sport that was to be at every practice and game, along with required CPR training. If they get immediate AED and CPR the recovery rate is extremely high with little long term effects. The Bills and the NFL knew this Monday night as well and for sure on Tuesday. They should have played the game Wed. night...

A tweet that people were incapable of actually reading.
