I understand, and I don't think it will cost them tonight, but as the series goes on. I just have a gut feeling he's not untouchable vs the Cubs.

It's October, you have to go for broke here.

It worked for the Royals last year (multiple multi inning stretches for Davis, Herrera, and pitching Hoch 3 straight games in the WS (and 4 of 5 games overall).

It did not work out for the Mets. Their kid pitchers wore down and wore down hard.

Cubs are going to walk away from this game thinking the left a win out on the field.

Leadoff double, can't so much as move him to 3rd.

1 out double, same story.

Bases loaded no outs, can't score.

1st and 3rd, 2 outs, can't get the hit.

If I don't post later, just assume that Miller gave me a heart attack.

kcpasco 10-25-2016 09:16 PM

Matt Adams with the whiff.

You were always going to have a mountain to climb to beat the Klubot and Andrew "Messiah" Miller.

Winning Games 2 & 3 will be key.

Yes, but multiple borgs is WAY tougher than 1, and I don't think Miller = our pen last year or two

Do you have anyone in mind for your eulogy?

Why Not? 10-25-2016 09:18 PM

Ha. Schwarber is better than Adams but I'm not sure starting a dude who hasn't played in 6 months was all that smart.

Perhaps not, but Tito is willing to use Miller in situations that Ned never would - they also have Cody Allen, not quite a borg but he's been on fire down the stretch.

They should win the series by game 6.

They have the better everything in this series, besides maybe middle relief. Kluber will only pitch 2 games before game 7. If they can't win the other 4 before then they pretty much choked away the series.

I'm not critical of his decision if it's still his best option.

Results may vary & not bite them.

I agree. I still think the Cubs wrap this up in six.
