I mean, is it in the realm of possibility that the board at Missouri literally has zero clue that the Anderson hire was a disaster and doomed to fail from its very inception? I read quotes like that and end up dumbstruck.

This post was a little startling when I thought you were talking about former Congressman Mark Foley who resigned in scandal a few years ago after inappropriate sexual texts with young male interns.

Someone brought him up in a DC thread this morning and it's the first mention I've seen of him in years, so when I opened your post I assumed I was still in that thread. LOL

I actually want to like Foley; he says the right things and seems very intelligent...in print.

But every time I see him try to speak even a little extemporaneously, he's just so awkward. Goober is the best word I can come up with for it.

I don't even mind that they hired a guy that sucked.

I mind that he expressly noted the efforts in securing that hire in choosing to secure his services again.

Anybody on this board, including PGM, could've gotten Kim Anderson to take the job at Mizzou. It took exactly zero work to get Kim Anderson to sign up for this gig.
