Snowing with freezing rain thunder lightning bates County Mo

Starting to come down harder here.

I think I can hear thunder to the south.

Yup....lightning while its snowing is trippy.

Expecting snowfall to run at about a 2" per hour rate this morning. damn

Reality is that I would have no problem getting to work now,but the question is; how will conditions this evening on the way home. I have the option to remote in from home...but it is preferred that I work from the office if possible. What to do...what to do?

Stay home. If it were me, there is nothing more frustrating than taking an hour to get home on what is normally a 10 minute drive.

Are the roads terrible?

I just woke up, but work in the plaza

Trying to see if it is worth it to try to go in or not

Good thing is I work 15 minutes from home. Even better thing is there will be no one out when I get off work.

Just took the lady into work. It's coming down HARD and heavy.... We'll see if she ends up stuck at work now.

But times like these I really miss my 88 Chevy.

Holy shit! My office closed today for the first time in the 8 years I've been there. Props to them for valueing the safety and lives of the employees.

I got halfway to work today and realized how hard it was coming down, there would be a good chance I'd be stuck at work. So I turned around and told my boss that I wasn't coming in. Snow day

Yeah, this is a pretty remarkable accumulation rate. Looks like we've got about four inches in the past two hours.. that, coincidentally, is the name of my wife's memoir,but I digress.
