Positional value accounts for a lot as well. A DE with a grade of 95 isn't as highly rated of a player than a 100 guard if you are just going by the grades. But if you look at the impact the position has on the field, the DE is worth more, which is why you would take him. A 10 sack DE is worth more than any guard in the game. |

How's that? I already said that if it's at another position take him. This team has holes at everywhere |

I'm a huge fan of Rivers he's outstanding in coverage and has a ton of talent but LB is a devalued position when teams pull productive starters out of the 3rd and 4th round. |
If you redo that Draft it goes:
1. Michael Strahan 2. Willie Roaf 3. Dana Stubblefield 4. Drew Bledsoe 5. Lincoln Kennedy 6. Mark Brunell 7. Trent Green 8. Jerome Bettis 9. Robert Smith 10. Michael McCrary 11. Brad Hopkins 12. John Lynch 13. Brock Marion 14. Blaine Bishop 15. Darrien Gordon |

Do you really think that Will Shields has impacted more games and more outcomes than even say, Ty Law, who is by no means a HOF DB and went to a fraction of the pro bowls? Ray Guy should be a hall of fame punter. I don't give a ****. I wouldn't take him over Jamaal Charles if I had to draft between the two. |

Different type of impact, Will Shields had a hand paving the way for Priest and LJ for 1500+ yard and Trent Green's career as a damn good QB while he was here. When Shields left everything went to shit at both phases of the game. You are really taking for granted how valuable he actually was. |
