are you gonna call the saints defense loaded with talent also?

Tackles is a heavily overrated stat in general, Mike Maslowski had 150 tackles one year did anyone ever think he was good?

DeezNutz 02-17-2009 07:12 PM

Yeah, I think Tank made strides.

It's hard to be too positive about an historically bad situation, though.

I still have no idea about what type of player he'll ultimately be.

I'll say I'm cautiously optimistic.

The Thigpen thing is getting me worried though

just looked Tank went from 11 tackles to 41. turk played 16 games his rookie season had 14 tackles played 9 last year had 41. improvement no?

That could be the case of just being the starter and having more opportunities instead of being a backup or rotating alot in his rookie year.

Here's another positive: both Gibbs & Pendergast have experience in the 3-4 & the 4-3. Maybe they can build a hybrid scheme that takes advantage of the players we have (or will have)...

Course, they also did that in AZ...but it did get them to the SB...er, well...hmm..

Ok I'm really grasping now....

stevieray 02-17-2009 07:16 PM

I can't wait till they retain players that people don't think should be here.

Welcome the coaching staff of the 2009 Kansas City Patardinals.

Al Bundy 02-17-2009 07:16 PM

Bill Muir... hahahaha... I feel bad for Branden Albert, his growth has been stunted by bringing on Muir.

I know, that worries me more than this coaching staff thingy...

We BETTER get a franchise QB or I WILL go into full meltdown mode...

could be. but watching him i felt as though he looked better than last year. and i'm not the only one. you cant blame our d tackles for everything. alot of those rushing yards came from around the edge. our lbs were horrible. pat thomas? come on. the cover two? come on.

I enjoy that Stevie feels the shitty nature of the team is funny.

i think some people want to see if these players can grow and get better. they are young and had basically no one to show them what it takes to make it in the nfl. VETS.
