I don't think it's flip-flopping.

I, for instance, think that Sanchez is going to develop into a top 5 QB in this league, and I still have concerns about Cassel.

But I'm not going to dwell on what might (should) have been.

I'm going to move on and hope like hell that Cassel can prove me wrong about his potential.

We are stuck with him, like it or not, and I don't.

But hell, Ive been down this road so many times I've just learned to roll with it, and I'm sure that's what TC is doing.

You weren't the one that spent every waking moment attacking the true fan, or anyone who thought less than perfect about Stafford.

I just find it funny that in all the talk about how Dane, Hamas, etc bring the place down with the name calling, the guy who was the worst offender of all gets a pass, seemingly because he's backed off his stance.

You and I are in the EXACT same boat. I've accepted we're stuck with him, and haven't mentioned Sanchez once - it is what it is. But that doesn't change my stance on the issue. Apparently it has for TC.

Why do I already have a feeling this story will end with even if Cassel is brutal a bunch of the fan base going "he needs this, this, this and this" this city has a real big issue with making excuses for the player who is suppose to be the one who elevates the other players.

That's exactly my point.

Trent Green is a perfect example, he needed the best line in the game with an all world RB and it made him look good, so much so that people acted like he was the ****in man when he still had a ton of flaws.

DeezNutz 06-03-2009 07:54 PM

If he had another guard, or a playmaking FB, or a decent TE (Why the **** did we get rid of Gonzo?!?), Cassel would would kick ****ing ass.

And why do I already have a feeling this story will end with even if Cassel is phenomenal a bunch of the "fan base" going "he sucks, needs to do this, other QBs are doing this" some people have a real big issue with getting their way and being right above all else

I'll never forget that stupid thread about how the FB position is very important, my head nearly exploded.

This fan base makes excuses for QB's, all he needs is some pretty stats and losses are ok.

I still think it was a parody. No way did someone argue for a play-making FB.
