Why wouldn't you honor it. I paid Taco John my 6-pack after a loss to the Broncos and it was such a PITA that I haven't made any other message board wagers since.

That said, he didn't really "bet" anybody based on my understanding. He made a general statement. I guess he feels like he has a binding wager with the populous here. I'm not even a big fan of the guy (though I think he has mellowed and grown on me since he had the girls) and I wouldn't have a problem with him not serving out a full year.
