Elway thought he needed a QB in 2011 and I'm ecstatic that he used his brain and didn't draft Gabbert, Locker, Ponder, or Dalton at #2.

All those choices are better than a FB/QB at no. 25 in the draft. Any year included.

the Colts have Luck for 4 years and $22M...

(fully guaranteed)

so he's paid a little better (because of the full guarantee) than Matt Flynn.

so unless there is a Calvin Johnson or Champ Bailey I don't know about...Geno is the only logical pick.

sadly that one glory year of Tebow is better than anything we've gotten out of a Pioli #1

I get it, you guys are fed up with going the retread route. You want your own franchise QB. But if one is not available you shouldn't just throw away the #1 pick in the draft. That is just as dumb as committing to Matt Cassel for 4 years.

You are the biggest POS on here.

**** you and your reeruned, inbred family.

Hootie 11-27-2012 04:01 PM

why do you guys get so mad at him?

He's funny, if nothing else.

and honestly, he may be right...in terms of ability, these QB's pale in comparison compared to Newton, Luck and RGIII...

but that doesn't mean I'm not still taking one!

****ing troll.

Another POS that should be on universal ignore.

If the Chiefs just simply had to draft a QB this year, it would be smarter if the Chiefs would take the best non QB available at #1 and then if a QB falls between 15-25, trade up and take him. That way you get the best player in the draft and a QB with some upside that you can groom. Everyone is saying that they aren't too high on this years QB class, I bet a decent one will slip.

Hootie 11-27-2012 04:04 PM

funny thing about 2011 is...

Kaepernick and Dalton seems to be #2 and #3 out of that crop when teams starting taking guys like Locker, Ponder and Gabbert (who has already been given up on)...

I think Ponder has potential...don't like what I see in Locker to be honest.

I think it ends up with:

Newton = Franchise
Kaepernick = Franchise
Dalton = Really, really solid for years to come
Ponder = Ok starter, may develop one way or the other

Gabbert = lost cause

Locker = maybe

Hootie 11-27-2012 04:05 PM

Newton needs a coaching staff, that's for sure. He has all the talent. I hate him, I think he's a douche...but he's crazy gifted.

Well, duh.

Luck and RG3 are generational type players.

Smith and Wilson look as good now as Stafford and Sanchez did 4 yrs ago.

The problem is, homo-reerun doesn't get it.

That ****stick defended the donkeys trading up into the 1st to take Tebow.

I can smell the fear permeating from KnowMos posts.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barkley fell to the 20's with the injuries and the questions people have about him. If the Broncos were in your situation, I would rather have the best player in the draft and Barkley, than just Geno Smith.

EXACTLY THIS! :thumb:

Chiefs don't deserve a franchise qb ffs.

For years we had the best defense in the league and continually got beat by franchise qbs when the games really mattered. How many years have we lost to a franchise qb?

Say you draft the best position player available an he turns into an all pro. Can an all pro lb carry you to a SB?

On the other hand can an all pro qb carry you to a SB?

This shit about this years class being bad is just that, shit.

gochiefss 11-27-2012 04:15 PM

no need to draft a QB, there will be plenty on the market (Alex Smith) etc that can work with all this talent and be a good offense

Cassel or Quinn may be an option as well as they will be in the 2nd year in daboll's system so they'll be better

get the best talent (teo) #1
