Everybody needs to pledge right here and now that they'll still hate Alex Smith even if he puts together a mediocre 9-7 season or whatever bullshit will convince morons that this was a good trade.

No. It means we're the Chiefs and we will never get a decent QB. Doesn't matter who it is; if you are a QB and you are associated with the Chiefs (sans Dawson) you suck. You might be great somewhere else, but while you are here or are coming here, you suck.

Right.

First decent game he plays, never mind good, and there will be demands for apology threads all over the place. Then, when the sample size becomes large enough and it's proven beyond a shadow a doubt that he sucks, we can start this process all over again.
