I can still appreciate anybody who gives more than they receive (even if they're documenting it).

Not really a surprise, as my old microwave suddenly started arcing a couple months ago.

Love that it's stainless steel, love that it has convection. After a bit of use, I swear the thing is smarter than half the Apollo Mission, push a button, wait for beep, perfectly heated food through and through, with no splattering or bubbling over.

Found it for way WAAAAY cheaper than MSRP, so much cheaper that the deal is like part of the gift [makes one feel like a smarty shopper and stuff].

Can you do all three deals (microwave-only, microwave-convection, or convection-only)? I understand convection ovens from their early days in the 80s, and basically it was an oven with a fan that moved the air, but you still have to set it to "350" (or something). Is that how yours works?

Pretty much. It has a heating element above like a bigger version of what you'd get in a toaster oven, and a circulator on the back, and it uses sensors to either microwave, cook with convection, or combining the two as needed. The convection goes up to 400deg and swirls the hot air around the food to brown and crisp, the micro can aim the energy to spots inside the food to cook evenly.

OK, I'm jealous! ****er! If they could make one for outdoors and I could call it a grill, I'd get one on the way home today!

Kids got me a Rambo style survival knife and some 5" cast iron skillets for camping. Going to take some work to get a real edge on the knife but it will make a decent utility knife when camping.

The knife is made by Smith & Wesson (model: CKSURG). It is 17 inches long, made of 440C steel, and is full tang (the metal extends all the way through the handle).

It's sometimes hilarious to me how you can identify a redditor by the most innocuous of things.

wife got me a 40" Masterbuilt electric smoker amongst some other more pedestrian things.. Yeah, it's cheating, but it still made amazing rib roast.
