Gordon and Zobrist have very similar career stats, but Zobrist is definitely outperforming Gordon this year. And for a lot less money on his contract. Maybe Dayton's loyalty was to the wrong player.

At least Gordon is contributing defensively. So he's not a complete liability out there. This team puts so much value on preventing runs, he's still contributing. I'd feel a lot better if he wasn't striking out so much.

There was basically no chance Zobrist didn't go to Chicago to be with Madden.

I also think the Salvy hit was fair.

You know what's great?

That the Royals broadcast didn't even show a replay of his hit down the line.

The replay looked fair yes


Is that an unchallengeable play?

My understanding is that anything between the plate and the bag is not reviewable.
