ROFL

Does it surprise you that Tiger Deliverance, the man who "supports" Alex Smith one testicle in each nostril, would also have a semen romance for Sean "overrated" Smith?

I miss Sean Smith. Nelson and Gaines have been beaten like drums throughout this season. When Smith was here, the right side of the field was locked down and QBs rarely there his way. Now the right side is a weakness for this team.

Nelson has been great. What games are you watching?

In what game has be been great? QBs seek him out on basically every pass and complete a very high percentage on him.

The fact that our right side is so weak had alllwrd QBs to stop throwing at Peters has reduced his chances at interceptions. When Smith was here, even though QBs knew Peters was a ball hawk, they were still forced to throw in his direction because Smith was so good on the other side.

No one said that.

Where were you when Weddle was getting toasted by Chris Hogan and trucked by Blount?

I agree. These new corners blow dicks, but letting Smith walk was the best move, IMO.

I don't mind letting him go, but we do need to make CB2 a priority this off season. Nelson isn't good and even if Gaines has the potential to be good, he can't stay healthy.

Where do we find one? I assume Dorsey would have spent the necessary coin on one if we had the cash. It's probably going to be the same situation this year.

Even if we spend a top draft pick on a rookie, it's not like every 1st rounder is a guaranteed Marcus Peters. We may still yet be opting for a player currently on our roster over the new blood we bring in.

Nelson hasn't been too bad. People tend to remember him getting beat on short throws to give up yards but don't remember the big plays like him punching the ball out of Mike Evans and Seth Roberts hands to save TD's.

I've been impressed with Nelson in the slot. Granted my initial opinion on him as a player wasn't super high, and he's given up a few plays early, but he's seemed to play well as of late.

DaneMcCloud 12-15-2016 09:38 AM

Just think, if the Chiefs had overpaid a 29 year old cornerback instead of going with cheaper players on the roster who have serious upside, they might be 10-3 with the #2 overall seed.

Players will be cut and I didn't say we had to spend a #1 pick on him.

It's not hard to see that the vast majority of the yards we give up are to the right side of the field. Winston, Semien, Ryan all made the vast majority of their 300+ yards against Nelson and Gaines.
