I guess I'd better call John and Andy up and see if they'd like to contribute to our new site, yes? Yes. I know it burns your dumb ass greatly that the Chiefs have elected to become relevant in the modern league, and have thrown your most beloved team-building traditions in to the trash-heap, but you're just going to have to live with the facts that times change, Alex sucks monkey dick, QB1 Death Cult won the war and beat your ass in to the dirt, and that the Chiefs FO is walking in beautiful, harmonious, lock-step with Draftubation Nation. Is what it is, bitch. Quote:
You're welcome. |
Alex psyching himself up, looking at himself in the mirror as Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' plays in the background:
Smith: I can do this, I can throw for 17 tds this year and set up the punter |

Point is valid. The defense can't really be blamed much vs Pit. Big drops from TE/WRs Missed opportunities from Smith here and there. .. and the OL really didn't step up much.. and Fisher must still feel the sting of that holding call that took away the tie at the end. Playcalls. It's as if the Chiefs never play as if they are in the zone, or look like they are composed enough for the biggest of games. Really was a total team fail, but I find it harder to blame the defense. Considering the brokedicks that were missing or ineffective, it was fortunate that Ben was having a shitty/bleh day too.. or it could have been worse. Too bad KC couldn't run the ball like Pit could. Was a huge disadvantage. |
yeah, just checked some #s from that misery...
Pit had 34 rush attempts.. KC had 16. That's just hard to overlook or stomach. They had 66 plays on offense.. KC had 49. They had 10 total drives to 9 for KC. edit* was mistaken on the TOP though... Pitt had a significant 34:13 to KC's 25:47. |
That'd be funny if the game evolved to the point where every team had at least one Manute Bol/Kareem Abdul Jabbar type of guy that was exclusively used to block field goals.

1st drive - TD 2nd drive - TWO offensive lineman penalties pushed us to 3rd and 16, and high % punt. 3rd drive - Pass on 1st and 10, QB got quickly hit as he threw and INT'd. 4th drive - 3rd and 7 pass to Ware... dropped? ( just asking.. I don't remember the play, only that people remarked earlier about a Ware drop ) 5th drive - Charc West fumbles the ball to Pit on 2nd down. ( something of note.. only 4 possessions for KC in the 2nd half ) 6th drive - This was the clear DROP by Kelce over the middle on 3rd and long. punt 7th drive - 3rd and 7 sack by Harrison. Don't know who to blame.. don't remember it or have it in front of me. 8th drive - FG drive to close the scoring gap to 5 points. 9th drive - we all know how this ended.. 13 plays 75 yds.. and a Fisher hold at the EZ to deny us a tie score with 2:43 left. ( there were 3-5 drops in this game for KC, as I recall ) So, anyone going to consider each of these drives, and who to blame? probably not, lol. Easier just to say "that dude sux"... by my count of the 9 drives, how many would you honestly blame the QB for? - I'm pretty sure everyone will agree that he can't be blamed for the TD drive.. - or the INT as QB got quickly hit and ball just hung in the air? (though I remember some people sure tried, lol) - or the West fumble - or the Kelce drop over the middle - or the final drive and penalty on Fisher That's 5 of the 9 drives right there. So how about the rest? - blame him for the FG drive to close the score to 5 pts down? so what is left to fault him on? - did Ware drop that 3rd and 7 pass? - was Smith at fault for taking that 3rd and 7 sack? - the 3rd and 16 high % punt due to multiple OL penalties? |
