Steele stayed on the roster the entire season. Even for a UDFA contract, that can buy a lot of alligator food

What happened to the RUGBY dude lol

I guess the Jags switched him to WR

Here's hoping this guy actually out performs my other training camp RB crushes like Darwin.

Having tons of speed certainly helps though!

The Chiefs didn’t have an explosive play of 20 or more yards from a RB until November 29th. I get that Pacheco broke his leg but the depth was terrible.

Yes the short yardage situation improved massively but the big play and explosive runs were never there and we didn’t have a back that could be a receiver and made teams pay.

Adding Mitchell and Smith is gonna help this room so much. They’re very versatile and have solid depth for all areas needed from the room.

Get your big explosive plays from the passing game and the run game big plays will come easier.

Kiimo 05-01-2025 10:30 AM

get your big explosive plays also from the receiver playing running back if he runs a 4.3

I really hope Carson Steele is not on the team, now

They do but you have to make them pay for that, handing off for 4 yards isn't going to make them pay at all.

I mean, that sort of is, though. 2nd and 6 opens up quite a few options.

Patrick Mahomes Chiefs are the best team that has ever existed on 3rd and medium and 3rd and long.

If there is any team, ever, that doesn't need to run the ball to throw it. It is us.

I do think we need to run more in CERTAIN situations but this idea we need to pound the rock all the time is silly. We also don't like to go for it on 4th down very often compared to league average so that also lends itself to running less.

We didn’t have an elusive RB to catch the ball and make people miss. Pacheco had bad hands, Kareem is old and slow and Perine wasn’t very elusive either and had to be schemed.

Finally we have some players who can actually catch passes and make teams pay

When he’s on the field, RB flats, seams, and wheels will be dangerous again. Screens, too.
