He wanted the idea out there for trade bait.

I don't think there was ever any credible evidence that the Chiefs were interested in Lynch beyond doing their due diligence, which they should do.

Just a lot of CP wishful thinking

If Dorsey thought there was a guy with that kind of talent still on the board, he would have run to the podium. Instead, he traded back. He watched his competition leapfrog him and is left hoping that he can get lucky by volume drafting second tier talent.
