A NY/LA final. When was the last time that happened in any sport?

kcxiv 06-01-2014 09:15 PM

Damn L.A vs N.Y crazy. Been a while.

Yankees/Dodgers in '71, apparently. I had just Googled Knicks/Lakers Finals and it returned '70, heh.

Well, ****.
Tough loss, but it was a hell of a series.

Though you've done insanely well, I think it's a game of me vs. you for the title now. :D

Yep, definitely looks that way. I'm not even bitter over the bracket thing, I'm just pissed my 'Hawks lost. I wasn't winning anything through the bracket challenge except CP bragging rights  The thing that does suck though is that I just started a new job Tuesday and they have an office bracket pool that I would have been dominating had I started earlier.

Well each player will have one day with the cup. One may choose to eat a bag of dicks out of it. But I doubt it.

LMAO

I don't know what's a bigger accomplishment:

1. Taking down the defending Stanley Cup Champions by playing from behind ALL NIGHT LONG in their building.

2. Bucking Rolltide's bracket.

I'm leaning towards the latter.

So proud of this team, and really impressed by both. Chicago's one helluva team, and will be for quite some time. And LA...well it's just so opposite my sports fandom's nature to actually support a team with balls the size of sea mines.

You should be, that was one helluva game and win. Love the Coast to Coast finals.

In retrospect, that game is giving me flashbacks of the Avs-Wild Game 7 only with more skilled teams. The quicker team seemed to have control the entire game, but couldn't shake the more grinding, physical team. Made it into OT, and all it takes is one goal to win it.

(shudder)

Hope the Preds can jump the Wild next season and knock them the **** out of the playoffs before they start.

Yankees-Dodgers was 1981

What a great series! Props to the Kings who will go on and take the Rangers in five games.
