It makes one realize why coaches yell on the sidelines, doesn't it? |

Stephen Hill still isn't showing available. |
Now I enter the meat grinder portion of my schedule. 3 games with Matt "in like" Flynn as my starting QB. Ugh.

PERCY COME BACK!!!!!
After 9 games: 71 receptions, 1 drop, 881 yards and 12 TDs. Gone. It's a good thing I'm at 7-2 because I think I'll be fortunate to finish at 10-6 without Percy. |
A review of Duluth after Week 9 - This team remains less than the sum of its parts. We believed that the addition of Frank Gore would really put us over the top, but while he's been a workhorse, 3.9 yards per carry isn't what we were hoping for. And our star-studded receiving corps has been compromised by minor nagging injuries and average quarterback play. The line has pass-protected pretty well, but hasn't shown the ability to move forward on running plays.
On defense, we rank near the bottom of the league, despite adding a couple of savvy veterans in the backfield (Ronde Barber and Antoine Winfield). Shaun Phillips has been a one-man wrecking crew with 9 sacks, but Dumervil has had an off year so far at DE to help him out. The D is top half in most categories, but has been nothing to write home about and offensive turnovers and poor special teams play have put them on short fields quite often, so they're terrible right now in points allowed. The D may need an overhaul in the offseason. Nonetheless, we're still above .500 and in the battle for a playoff spot. A little hot streak and we could make some noise in the playoffs. |
Sweet! Stetsons stepped up their game to win our "superbowl." Time for us to fade back into mediocrity.
