Ben was never going to be back in KC. Alex being re-signed didn't make a bit of difference. Maddon is like his 2nd father.

I heard that a bit in the media, but I can't seem to find a quote from Zobrist on that. Alex Gordon sucked outloud last year and was definitely a huge reason the Royals didn't make the playoffs.

I think our starting pitching and bullpen was a bigger reason. And injuries.

I think it's very unlikely he would be able to go the distance. He's already at 79 pitches after 5 innings

Ain't going to happen. Madden would be a fool to let him get much over 100 pitches, if even that.

Definitely not a pretty outing from Arrieta, despite the no-hitter into the 6th, but it was effective. Time for the bullpen to bring it home.

Injuries had something to do with it for sure, Alex Gordon was a massive black hole in the line up for the time he was in, add on to that he took out Moose as well.
