I dont know if I want the Royals to make any more moves. We are virtually guaranteed a postseason spot. If you KNOW Gordon will be healthy, then I dont know if we need OF help. Who cares if we win 100 games if we are almost assured the division anyway. Id rather even rest guys.

If we do anything I would like Zobrist. But im sure he will be expensive and Beane would probably charge us a fk you tax. He can play OF and IF, the only problem is Ned would not use him enough in my opinion, so some of his value would be wasted. Zobrist is a BETTER everyday option both at RF and 2B. An argument could even be made that hes better at 3B than Moustakas (assuming each player regresses & progresses toward their career avgs). If we got Zobrist then Infante should immediately move to back up IF. You could still play Infante more than most back up 2Bs as you could give Zobrist spot starts at RF based on favorable matchups.

Damn!

20 teams in the majors would love to have a top 10 pitcher in baseball taking the bump every fifth day. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are probably going to have 3/5 of their rotation filled with the game's best pitchers.

Yet they'll still lose to the Cardinals in the NLDS.

How are the dodgers just 12 over .500? Royals would probably have a better record in the NL too

tk13 07-26-2015 04:21 PM

Rockies piling on now. 16-6 in the 5th inning. Jocketty just called Dayton to see if they could trade for Cueto.

Kershaw hasn't been dominating until his last 4 or 5 starts, the rest of the rotation other than Greinke has been inconsistent.

The Dodgers are a frightening team, especially if they get Price. How that team isnt 30 games above .500 is beyond me

tk13 07-26-2015 04:26 PM

Everybody's picked the Dodgers the last couple years too, because they always have the best team on paper. It's not how it works though. Plus the Cardinals just own them.

milkman 07-26-2015 04:29 PM

When I hear the Dodgers pregame, they always seem to be talking about about a mental error that someone made that cost them runs.

So, when does Cueto get his first start for the Royals?

Thursday?

Wednesday against Kluber?

I think the speculation has been in Toronto over the weekend.
EDIT: I can't remember where I saw that.
EDIT 2: I didn't realize the Toronto series was a 4-gamer. So my guess would be Thursday in Toronto.

Just like the damn Giants own us.:shake:

What kind of prospect level were Lamb and Reed?

Hamwallet 07-26-2015 04:47 PM

If anyone wants to make a small fortune buy royals hats and fake dreads in bulk and a staple gun.

tk13 07-26-2015 04:49 PM

They may not be thinking this far ahead, but I'm pretty sure if Cueto starts Thursday, it sets him up to pitch both Detroit series the following two weeks.
