you messed it up. A watched pot is slower to boil, and a watched Gordon is slower to hit.

You get an 8th inning leadoff double in a 1 run game, your next hitter hits it to the right side and the guy still gets thrown out, and you get nothing.

We really deserve to lose this game. Except for Chen. Can the best pitcher on a losing team still get a "W"? :D
