I am busting out some Terra Incognita tonight.

I had Goose Island Imperial IPA Thursday night and was impressed. Piney and citrusey and mega drinkable at 9%.

May be my fave Imperial IPA next to Hopslam.

Have you tried the pumpkin ale yet? There's something different about it this year... IMO, not in a good way. It's been my favorite pumpkin ale for a few years, but it kind of sucks this year.

I bought a bottle of Rogue pumpkin patch ale the other day and it was very tasty.

I don't know, I haven't noticed an appreciable difference.

Southern Tier Pumking reigns supreme in the Pumpkin ale department, however I do agree the Rogue pumpkin patch ale is quality.

I've had a couple on tap and a six pack of the Schlafly Pumpkin. I didn't notice any difference. Pumking, Schlafly, and Mothers are probably my top 3 pumpkin ales.

Bourbon Barrel Quad fans...you will start to see it hit shelves in Kansas City next Tuesday and other markets very soon after. We've made more this year but remember, it is a Limited Release, so once it is gone, it is gone.

re: Pumpkin Ale... it sat in my fridge for a few weeks, I tried it again, and it was much better. Maybe my taste buds were off that day or it needed a couple of weeks in my fridge.

Follow up- Terra Incognita is not a beer I like and I usually like all the Smokestack stuff. Not good.

Scored a bottle of Mango Magnifico from Founders and it's begging to be tried this weekend. I've yet to find a great Chili beer and look forward to trying this one.

Damn, they dont have Pliny the Elder at Bevmo, which you guys probably don't have out there.

Check www.bevmo.com

They literally have 1,000s of different kinds of beers, wines, and liquors in their stores.

I'm going tonight I'm going to get a 4 pack of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

I've been to the home base for Pliny the Elder in Santa Rosa...delicious! Their pizza ain't bad either.

I like Founder's and all, but this beer was awful.
