If Jones sits out 8 weeks, mark my mother ****ing words, it will be the absolute dumbest thing a Chiefs player has done to cost themselves money, even worse than Orlando Brown's hilarious gaffe at turning down Veach's long term deal and betting on himself.

When he bitches up, and bails on his team for half the season and we are completely fine afterward, every last bit of ANY negotiating power this turd had gets flushed down the shitter right along with his massive contract hopes.

As long as 15 is upright and breathing, we can beat any team, regardless of whether or not Jones is being a bleeding ****.

If Jones is serious about holding out 8 weeks, the Chiefs really need to let him explore trade options now. See if a team will give him what he wants. Get some draft capital for next year, whatever that may be. And free up 20 million for this season. There are other pieces out there that can plug and play for 1 year.

It's pure cutting off your nose to spite your face. Just madness if he holds out. I think he's an important enough player that we lose some games we shouldn't if he's not there. Of those first 8 weeks the Jags and Chargers obviously look the toughest. But who knows what the Vikings, Jets and Lions look like. Pretty confident we still have plenty on offense to be doing well.

Man I'd love to know what he's asked for. If the sticking point really is the 4th year I think I'd give it to him. Jones is effectively worth 2 very good DTs imo. But honestly what an idiot, and man his agent sucks.

Chris Jones seems to tweet things he doesn't really mean at times. Or flip flops a lot, however you want to look at it.

I won't put stock in the week 8 tweet until he's missing reg season games. Surely he knows he'll never make up the money lost if he does it, which along with the aforementioned is a big reason why I think that.
