This isn't about the Division, this is about the World Series.

Even with this trade, I'm not sure the Royals have made up enough ground to beat the Cards, Giants or Dodgers.

What do you mean by make up enough ground? We split the series with the Cardinals, the Dodgers will probably lose to one of the other two teams before the WS, and the Giants are worse than they were last year.

It'd be a pretty even fight against any of those teams.

Actually, I think it was 4-2 Cards for the season? If Kershaw and Grienke pitch to their best, the Dodgers win it all this year, but that's a big if. Otherwise, I think we can hang with anyone

It would be ideal if the Cards and Giants are eliminated before the World Series because just like last year, I believe the Dodgers are the best matchup.

The Cards and Giants represent four of the past five World Series champs so I'd never count either team out in October.

While their starting pitching isn't as deep as it was overall (although it was mostly crap past Bumgarner) the Giants are much, much better on offense, have a better #2, and the Royals lost the season series to the Cardinals 4-2.

The Nationals will represent the NL in the WS this year.

I'd take that matchup in a heartbeat.

Not worried about the JV.

If Duffy and Ventura can find themselves, then there isn't anyone this team doesn't match up with.

Same here, but they have the type of roster that can get hot and go on a tear against teams that are heavily favored, and they have individuals that can carry a team.

Mondesi just hit a double off Jordan Walden.

The Giants????

DeezNutz 07-26-2015 07:17 PM

It will suck to have Cueto starting game 7 at home instead of Guthrie.

And one of those win was a 5.5 inning game. We underwhelmed in all but one of the Royals games this year.

The Dodgers with Grienke/Kershaw/some trade deadline top shelf pitcher would be hard to beat.
