Lol, was 799 last update. Who cares, he sucked balls all year. 11 homers from an 8m DH? 1.4 war? embarrassing. Dayton said he did the Shields deal for Alex and Billy. Shields held up his end but the other two failed

Not the argument. I responded simply and directly to you showing your ass on his OPS. If you're going to use stats, use them accurately and correctly. Otherwise, it tarnishes the rest of your arguments.

**** "whatever, dude." You were ****ing wrong. Own it.

It's worth pointing out that Ned Yost has curiously NOT been extended beyond this season.

We can dream, right?

Chiefspants 08-18-2013 01:05 PM

Also, Butler has a higher OPS than both Fielder and V. Martinez right now. He'd be essential in Detroit's lineup like he is in ours, we're just lacking our Cabrera (Myers).

Prison Bitch 08-18-2013 01:33 PM

We're lacking a lot more than one piece in the lineup. We are 26th in wRC and have nobody who's substantially better at his position vis a vis league avg. there's no help in AAA either. Next year won't be any diff

Well, that's cause those guys are fat too. Fat people are unathletic pieces of shit. Haven't you heard?

We're not a bad team. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong year to be "not a bad team".

Small market teams simply cannot make the Myers-for-Shields trade, but the tease of a pennant race was fun while it lasted.

Talk about a guy that simply can't hit with any power.

You're right, let's just decide now that our 23 year old catcher, who made the All-star game on his defensive skills alone, is done for. Seems logical if a guy isn't hitting for power at 23 years of age at the MLB level.

I'm not saying anything other than the truth. He swings at far too many bad balls to really hit with power.

Except for that 790-foot shot he hit last night.

Well maybe some people in Olathe would still like to meet him. I have and he is a genuinely fun loving kid with a huge smile. I wasn't here to talk about his lack of power.

So fist yourself.

He looks like a nice kid, just don't like what he brings to the plate. As of Friday in his last 46 games, here's his numbers .210 .260 .280 .541. Which did include a month and a half with no home runs. Perez is a gold glove catcher, but is a bottom of the order type of hitter. I also believe he shouldn't be untouchable trade wise.
