I was pretty pleased. I drove it for 12 years and still got almost 40 percent of my initial purchase price. (Recall that I bought it when it was almost three years old.) I bought it for a little over $22k and sold it for a little more than $8.

I definitely underpriced it a bit. If I had been hard core and willing to hold out for a while, I could have gotten another $1,200 to $1,500. But I wanted to make the sale rather quickly to keep from having to park it on the street going forward.

What's weird about that? It was a male car. It may be a coincidence, but every car of mine has been a male and every car of my wife's has been a female.

Congrats, I guess. I agree about a lingering sadness. All the cars that I've had enough time to "bond" with, I feel a some guilt in the loss. But alas it will be short lived with relief in the form combination of blue and white leather.

It's a lower tech car. We looked at another one that had more bells and whistles on it, but the interior on this one really grabbed us. It's an ivory white that really popped, and we liked the manual transmission more than the automatic.

Watching the top go down is pretty frickin' cool, too. It does all sorts of fancy maneuvers.

Here are some more pics. I'm pretty excited about this.

 VERY cool!

No turbo. It's 255 hp, which is all that a fellow like me needs.

It's a whole new learning process. I'm not even close yet. However, I also think the batteries may be getting weaker in my door opener. It seems like I'm losing range, which makes the coasting to a landing much harder.

You may have to channel a little Capt. Kirk, he could dock anything.
