As a mater of fact it is. I was up at 4 bells this morning. Had a cup of
coffee and came into the office early. Read some of my buddies emails about how fired up they are too.

Check this place out. We're looking at going there next summer. www.piketales.com

Here's another place that we drove to. Its just NW of ThunderBay about 2.5 hours....Its a good place. www.yourwilderness.com

Its not a fly in, but we could fish 4-5 lakes while at this guys place. It cost a hell of a lot less than a (fly in) too and the fish were huge and the cabins were very clean. Every one of us got aat least a 12-16 lb Northern on this trip.... :)

My picture with a 16 lb Northern is in this website in several places. I have the burgandy colored sweatshirt with a white baseball cap and black rain pants. We will go back to this guys place one of these years too. Russ and Darlene Baker treated us very well at this place. The rates are great too.

Also caught one redfish, + the remaining trout on a soft plastic shrimp. I am moving back to K.C. soon, and it will suck not having the marsh nearby. Guess I'll start fly fishing then.

Spotted weakfish...

shut the **** up asshole. If you knew anything you would know that speckled trout, spotted seatrout, and atlantic weakfish are all appropriate names for what I catch a lot of and you catch none, or very little of.

Talk to me, is anyone slaying some monsters? I have been to busy to get out over the last two weeks, but plan to cut loose one day this week and try my luck.

I haven't been able to go lately but will be taking my ultralite and Powerbaits on my next run methinks. Been running a lot of I90 and I94 and I start drooling every time I go through St Regis and into Northern Idaho thinking about all the trout that must be in that absolutely gorgeous area. Lots of running water right next to the Interstate and I already have a few parking spots for the "rig" picked out. BTW Bwana, how much is a Nonresident trout permit in MT?

For a season, or a day or two?

Just a day or 2 for now. I never know how often I will be going through there and if I can't save a substantial amount of money getting a season permit, it isn't worth it to fork out the extra dough.

Bwana 06-27-2005 08:12 AM

I'll tell you what, I'll look into it and post the information tonight for you.
