DELICIOUS

What would be really sweet is if they'd drop down behind all the 1-loss teams where they belong.

Ah well, I'm still enjoying it.

the Talking Can 12-02-2006 09:22 PM

at least we are spared the travesty of a clearly inferior USC team jumping a clearly superior Michigan team for the Championship game......WHEW

keg in kc 12-02-2006 09:23 PM

Now I've got to worry about whether a clearly inferior Florida team jumps a clearly superior Michigan team.

Man, I hate those morons. Got a guy at work like that. He's a good guy, but he claims the Raiders as his team. Used to be a Chiefs fan except that his ex wife was a Chiefs fan. So, he became a Raiders fan. I'm like WTF is wrong with this dude? Now he says he likes both teams. I tell him no freakin' way you can like both. That would cause a disruption in the space time continuum or something.

Bob Dole 12-02-2006 09:35 PM

Bob Dole wouldn't be surprised if they figure out some way to put USC in the title game anyway.

But it ought to be Michigan. Too bad that's not really fair to Ohio State, so it probably won't happen and we'll get to see Florida get their ass kicked.

We can only hope.

the Talking Can 12-02-2006 09:41 PM

without a playoff the college "championship" is always cosmetic...no chance at all for the underdog

but you're right, if Michigan beats OSU it basically means the whole season was pointless....just a bunch of 1 loss teams...yea

Yes, Michigan is clearly superior than Florida because:

1. Florida has played the toughest schedule in the country. Their opponent win percentage is higher than any other teams in college football.

2. Florida has scored more TDs per game than Michigan.

3. Florida averaged more offensive yards per game than Michigan.

4. Florida allowed less points per game than Michigan.

5. Florida accomplished #2-#4 while playing the toughest schedule in the country.

6. Florida won their conference championship.

7. Florida has defeated 3 ranked teams (highest being #5). Michigan has defeated 2 ranked teams (highest being #7).

But, clearly, Michigan is the superior team
:bong:

Florida is 12-1, SEC Champs, played the most difficult schedule (10 bowl eligible teams in 13 games) and deserves to go to the National Championship game.
