Where did Godzilla come from? What is he?

The trailer says they awakened it and that the nuke tests in the 50's were actually attempts to kill it. So was it created by the radiation from Hiroshima and Nagasaki nearly a decade prior? What's he been doing in all the time between the bombings in the 50's and now? Are the other monsters' origins the same as Godzilla's? Are all of the monsters trying to destroy mankind? Is Godzilla an anti-hero of sorts?

I am ready to know.

Something the size of Godzilla probably took a while to grow...?

Either.

Though it would be fun if every now and then big movies would come out that didnt need someone to add the disclaimer that I leave my brain at home before i go to the theater in able to enjoy it.

I don't know why you think that. Everything so far indicates this isn't just going to be a Roland Emmerich disaster movie.

Or if you go by the Heisei Series timeline Godzilla is a radioactively mutated Godzillasaurus and King Gidorah is the result of three Dorats being placed in the same location as the original Godzillasaurus.

That's what I thought. A pterodactyl or bat type wing...

And his first monster movie was in no way like that...

Halfcan 02-26-2014 11:01 AM

They are also putting out the Original Godzilla as well-great movie for its time.

Rausch 02-26-2014 01:11 PM

Best shot of Godzilla yet...

Fire Me Boy! 02-26-2014 01:28 PM

I'm actually interested, and before that trailer, I wasn't.

ThaVirus 02-26-2014 01:51 PM

He looks kind of like a bear.
