Hopefully better than the Missouri Mavericks? I've never watched DII hockey... looks like MSU, KU, and MU play in the same conference, or at least play each other.

MSU plays MU here next weekend. Definitely going to try to go to one of those.

MSU definitely isn't very good. They suck at passing and spend half their time chasing the puck instead of controlling it.

I'm surprised they haven't put a CHL team in Springfiled, they would have some good road trips to KC, Wichita, Tulsa. That seems to make sense.

Hockey just doesn't seem to be that popular here outside of the college realm. Also, we don't have an ice arena big enough for that. We can't hold but maybe 1/3 of the people that the Mavericks' place in Independence holds. If it were to ever happen, I think I'd be all over looking into season tix (granted I find a job to pay for them).

I procrastinated and didn't call about tix to MSU/MU until today. All that's left is general admission. :(

A friend of mine might be able to score some tickets for Saturday though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

And that arena barely fits 6,000, if even that, so the Springfield arena would be around 2,000 seats. In that league you pretty much need 3,000 to barely get by, that thats still probably in the red. Though somehow Ft Worth gets by with an arena that seats around 2,500.

Wow.

Sharks/Coyotes is a crazy game.

Coyotes were up 3-0 Sharks pulled goalie.

7 seconds left in 2nd period Sharks scored a PPG to make it 3-1.

Now 5:50 left Sharks are up 4-3. I just hoping for no OT as a Kings fan.

I've always wondered when players drop their gloves right after a face off, do they plan it before hand or what?

Usually they are, sometimes they plan it at the end of a shift so they can fight when they are fresh. Sometimes they plan the fight right there during the faceoff, the gestures to fight can be non verbal as well. I tug on a shirt, a tap on a stick, a nod of the head. Wanna go? Yes! Drops gloves and a fight ensues!
