Clark doesn't want to get rid of the guy he has faith in and who has made him money. The big factor in 2008 to let Carl go was that the Chiefs lost money that year from their operations.
This is why Denny Thum was wacked too.
If the Chiefs start losing money in their football and business operations, that's when heads will roll.
An empty stadium is embarrassing, but if Clark sells half the seats in that stadium for 10 games, he's still making money on that end.
