The first was the worst. Having Butler as the lead runner is like being stuck behind a snow plow, had it been anyone else we woulve gotten at least 1, likely more.

What an embarrassment this organization is.

I'm glad Hud is Sphincter Free!

I am telling you, he is overrated for this team. We need other players and not him. He is a "luxury" we cannot afford.

He can't run
He can't field
Right now he can't even hit for shit

Anyone else and we never even load the bases in the 2nd because they would have scored on the Cain hit.

Problem: he's worth more to the Royals than basically any other team.

Is Butler hitting below his usual level? Of course. But he's still a viable bat, unlike 6 of the other 9, so let's make sure that we direct the anger to the correct places.

Yeah.

Butler is having a crappy year, but he is an All-Star compared to the majority of the lineup. At least he can draw a walk, unlike 90% of the team.

Every year people bitch about Butler...

Yep. Same thing has been happening for years.

Royals suck?!? It's (insert best player's name) fault! (And please, no one post a pedantic post saying, "Gordon is actually better..." You get the ****ing point.)

I've wanted to trade him for the last couple years. I just think we need more pieces and cannot afford him in the lineup.

It's like when we had Soria. I mean, he was a bad ass closer but we were never really in position to take advantage of it,

Butler will wake up and do well....Royals need as many real hitters as possible at this point. Yeah he's fat, slow, but the dude was an all star just last year and had really good #'s. He is 1 of 2 proven guys in this lineup

I'm not saying he isn't good. Well, this year he sucks but anyway, I am saying having him in the lineup is having the cart out in front of the horse. I mean right now we need more pieces and cannot sacrifice them for a 1-trick slow-pony like Butler.

I understand but it'd have to be a really good offer for me to want that to happen.

If this team has a few consistent hitters in front of Butler who could get on base, you would see how ****ing good of a hitter he really is. Look at some of the shit guys who have hit in front of him over the years.

And you don't have to agree with this but Butler gets a pass from me. He is obviously having a down year, no question. But he has been damn consistent over multiple consecutive seasons at the plate. Until other guys can do the same, I really can't bag on him.

I can only give Butler so much of a pass. He is supposed to be one of the leaders on this team and he is a veteran now. He needs to be coming through more than he has.
