But but but it's not Matheny's fault!!!

You think Lyons or Broxton will fare better? They are just some good hitters. Our middle relief is not going to get them out.

lol already blaming Matheny ... jesus

Get off it dickhead. Siegrist has a pronounced reverse split and he gave up two bombs to lefties.

bsroyals54 10-13-2015 05:12 PM

All things considered, home runs do hurt, but its still only a 2 run deficit.

Do I think it would have been a better option than letting Siegrist throw to a lefty, when they're hitting damn near .400 off him?

Yes.

I stepped away for 45 seconds. How many bombs has Siegrist given up in that time?

Well, be that as it may ... the Cubs are just a better team than the Cards are with all of those injuries. If anything, if I were a Cards fan ... I'd be pretty happy to have gotten a Division Championship and fighting through all of those injuries all year long ... I'm not even trying to be a dick but I truly think, at this juncture, they are the least talented team in the entire postseason

They weren't built for a postseason run. No power hitting, no power pitching (besides Carlos). It was never going to happen.

The better team is winning. End of story.

There's no doubt about that, but we're certainly not doing ourselves any favors.

Yeah ... baseball is kind of like seeing your team lose in March Madness. It ****ing sucks ... but regular season titles do mean something in baseball IMO

The NFL and NBA are different beasts. Titles are all that matters in those sports.

I think every Cardinal fan knows this team over performed given all the injuries. The cover is not bare. No way injuries can hit us like they did this year.

I have no problem admitting the Cubs are a better team. I ****ing hate it but when you suck for years and pick in the top 5 you get some really good players. And now they tons of money and Maddon.

jd1020 10-13-2015 05:15 PM

Hopefully this seasons Baez at the plate sticks for the future.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-13-2015 05:15 PM

Doughboy Broxton will save us.

Cards are being held together with toothpaste and toilet paper right now. One reliable starting pitcher. Yadi done. Few others still recovering from injuries.

And here's where Fatass puts the game out of reach...

OnTheWarpath15 10-13-2015 05:21 PM

Whew. Soler missed it.

jd1020 10-13-2015 05:23 PM

6 more outs and I don't even care what happens in the NLCS. It's all house money at this point.
