Perm. Back with HP. My sitch caused some internal chatter apparently so now they want to retain me. They are laying off someone else instead. Call it stacked ranking.

I've accepted but will be moving forward with finding a new gig anyway as it should never have come to this, IMO. This course of action was my rebuttal to them when I first got the news. Vailpass has been very very cool with his headhunter lead.

Hope to play off salary offers and/or move above Project/Program Management.

Trust me, I feel it. I really do. It might make some happy that it was an off shore worker. And I know he will be fine. In the end, his communication skills were not enough. Simple tool, hardly utilized appropriately.

Glad to hear you have some leverage now.

I'm getting close to taking the first perm job I've had in 12 years or so. 5 interviews in and its looking good. Everyone seems happy with the tech and what I bring to the table. Could be happy there. Maybe a chance to get off the contracting merry go round.

Still got an interview with the European branch and a face to face somewhere to go.

Funny. I'm considering going back to contracting. Much more lucrative and FT is not, in any way, guaranteed as I have learned. I took a pay cut to go FT with HP.

Benefits through a contracting company make up any difference. So my options are wide open. But the WAH is pretty sweet.

I talk to outsourced people every day with no communication skills but they still work lol

of course thats direct tv and they are instructed to act stupid
